Pricing and Integrity

This is a pricing game played by the typical "Big-Time" Contractor. They will start out outrageously high, if you buy, they're happy. If you don't, they will look for ways to reduce the price in increments until you bite. They'll use lines like:

  • We'll take $3,000.00 off the price if we can put a job sign in your yard.
  • We'll discount the job if we can use pictures of your house in an advertisement.
  • I'll check with my sales manager. I'm sure that I can get him to drop the price.
  • We really need to do a house in this neighborhood, so I'll discount the job if you'll buy today.

Can you trust someone to do the right thing with your house if they can't even give the price in an honest fashion. Integrity is vital. Can you trust your siding contractor?
